I have done Cantha and I've just finished Elona.
I'm 21/54 in Tyria from various guild outings.
Most of my guildies have finished theirs so I'm doubting to do Tyria or not.
I once spend 30 min looking arround for the last foe. Walking acros an entire area again. To discover a level 3 tiger who had turned red somehow.
I fired all my heroes and henchies on the spot. Hitting a level 3 tiger without killing it is an unforgivable failure.
VQn really should have an arrow pointing towards the nearest enemy from the moment you've killed more than 75% of the monsters. It's about killing them, not finding them.

somehow lots of people are against ideas like this odly. its been suggested, same as explorers , when you are at 99% there should be something that tells you where/what you've missed ....

Same for gladiator, hero, cartho and kaobd title track plz.
I vanquished a few areas too. You don't have to you know. If it really frustrates you just don't. And as some guy earlier said, there's no patrols in that area. So if you have any cartho titles, I think you don't deserve them. And also, if you use some common sense, it won't take you THAT long to track a patrol down.

If you methodically go into an area then vanquishing is not all that difficult.
If you have walked the entire area going in one direction and are still missing a few, walk back the opposite direction you went when vanquishing. 99% of the time you will run into the patrol you missed in a short amount of time.
How you spend 50min walking around an area and not finding an enemy is kind of puzzling. Most areas dont take much more than that to vanquish.

Looking for them shouldn't be the point of the exercise anyway.
How about : "When you enter an explorable zone in HM, you get a temporary 'vanquish area X' quest that you can activate through the quest window. This quest will have the usual green arrow and green star pointing towards unvanquished foes in your area."
I don't care if it's the nearest or not as long as it will point towards unvanquished foes it will help finding that last patrol/group you've missed.

Another way to do it would have been to target one of the margonites above you and do Junundu Siege (which is an energy skill, not an adrenaline skill). That knocks down the pillar too.
Too late now, I guess.

Exactly, I've missed that tree (Iboga) on a few occasions as you have to be near the edge to even see him appear on the radar as he doesn't walk into the water.
I agree with others that there should be some type of percentage allowed for the last few or an indicator of the general area in which a mob might be.

I don't think it should be made too easy (ie by having finding skills etc) but one thing that would encourage people sticking with the vanquish is a simple message that comes up when there are only 5 thinks left to kill. That way you know how many there are to find, and how viable it is to split up and scatter your hunting party.

Just look at the kill bar! It should be easy to gauge approximately how many groups you have left to kill.
